Sagicor on high alert after IT staff member tests positive for COVID-19

Staff at Sagicor Group are on high alert following an e-mail that was sent early Friday morning (August 7)  which revealed that a member of the company’s IT department had tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to the email, sent out by the company’s Senior Vice President of Group Human Resources & Corporate, Karl Williams, Sagicor would be implementing its business resumption plan which details how the company would act in circumstances like these.

“We have immediately initiated  the business resumption plan (BRP) which addresses how we should act in a time like this.It includes a mandatory  WFH/quarantine of the entire unit, deep sanitisation  an de-misting operations of the unit and common areas, contact tracing and full cooperation with the MOWH, ” read the e-mail sent  by Williams.

The e-mail further stressed the importance of staff members following all COVID-19 prevention protocols which includes, regular hand washing, social distancing and the wearing of face masks.

“No team member should attend any of our office locations if they have any flu-like symptoms. If you are at office and developing same then you need to go home immediately. Taking care of yourself is taking care of all of us,” added the e-mail.
