Artiste manager takes jab at Hanna, endorses Mark Golding

Artiste Manager Shelly-Ann Curran seems to have endorsed Mark Golding who is running for the post of President of the People’s National Party (PNP).

While it is unclear if Curran is a supporter of either party, her preference for Golding was made clear in a tweet on Friday where she used the hash tag  #gowithgolding and took a discreet jab at his political opponent, also vying for the top spot, Lisa Hanna.

“Never trust a politician that wants to band kartel songs all while her IG page is fully quoting an entire verse #gowithgolding #substanceovahype,” said Curran in what appears to be a jab at Hanna.

Curran seems to be making reference to a 2017 incident in which Hanna, in a radio interview, suggested that the music of incarcerated dancehall artiste, Vybz Kartel, should be banned from public airwaves.

Hanna made the controversial statement while discussing how violence in the country is intertwined with certain negative aspects of music.

Hanna’s comments were met with fury from Jamaican social media users who in an effort to chide the former minister left derogatory comments on Hanna’s Facebook page and under her Instagram photos.
