A correctional officer was stabbed by an inmate on Friday (November 12) at a prison in St Catherine.
The Department of Correctional Services(DCS) confirmed the incident which occurred at around 9:45 a.m.
The Den understands that the officer was stabbed while unlocking a cell.
The DCS declined to share further details on the matter.
