Four new COVID-19 fatalities, Jamaica’s death toll inches closer to 200

The latest numbers from the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) reveal that Jamaica has recorded thirty-five (35) new cases of the coronavirus and has confirmed 4 new virus-related deaths.

While new infections continue to trend downward, Jamaica continues to record virus-related deaths, pushing the death toll to 192.

The new infections brings the country’s total case count to 8,749 with newly infected patients ranging from 3-years-old to 88-years-old.

Kingston and St Andrew (KSA) continues to lead the other parishes in new infections recording 12 new cases, and a total of 3,123 cases overall.

To date Jamaica has 4,139 active cases with 121 individuals hospitalised.
