The police in a release moments ago said that one of the suspects in yesterday’s robbery of a JN moneyshop in Westmoreland had been arrested.
According to the report, the man, whose identity is being withheld, was taken into custody this afternoon.
The suspect was held with a 9mm pistol, a gun similar to what was seen on surveillance footage released by the bank following the incident.
During the robbery which occurred at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Monday a security guard at the location was injured as well as approximately $3.2 million taken from the location.
In a release on the matter, Jamaica National said that it would be beefing up security at the location.
