Met Service tells Jamaicans to brace for more rains this week

The Jamaica Meteorological Service is forecasting turbulent weather conditions as a trough lingers over and becomes the major weather influence for the island on Wednesday (September 9).

According to its latest advisory, the low-level trough, which wanders across sections of Jamaica later today, will remain over the country for the next few days.

Following a partly cloudy outlook for this morning, the Met Service anticipates conditions to worsen into the afternoon, making way for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across most parishes.

Tonight is expected to be mostly cloudy, with lingering showers across sections of southern parishes.

In its three-day outlook, the agency further advised Jamaicans to expect widely scattered afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms across sections of most parishes.
