One of Westmoreland’s most wanted taken into police custody

One of Westmoreland’s most wanted men was taken into police custody early this morning following an operation in the parish.

Reports from the Jamaica Constabulary Force are that at around 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday (August 4) Isaiah Perry otherwise called ‘cat’ was arrested and taken into custody.

Perry is described by police as one of the top tier member of the Kings Valley Gang.

Earlier this year in July Chief Justice Bryan Sykes freed some members of the Westmoreland-based gang when he handed down a “not guilty” verdict in the nearly seven-month long trial against six men who were accused of breaches of Criminal Justice (Suppression of Criminal Organisations) 2014 in relation to crimes committed between 2016 and 2018.
