Two Jamaica Customs locations closed after employee tests positive for COVID-19

The Newport East and the King Street locations of  the Jamaica Customs Agency will remain closed on Monday after an employee at the agency tested positive for the coronavirus .

According to the Commissioner of  Customs Velma Ricketts Walker the locations are being closed for the day to allow for a sanitation exercise.

The agency described the closure is a “precautionary measure” for staff and customers.

The offices are expected to reopen on Tuesday  (August 11).
