Negril disc jockey charged after pointing gun at woman

A disc jockey based in Negril, Westmoreland has been charged with various offences after he allegedly assaulted a woman with a gun.

Charged is 40-year-old Zavian Briscoe of Red Ground in Negril, Westmoreland.

Reports are that about 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday (July 24) a woman was walking past Briscoe’s home when he allegedly attacked her and pointed a gun at her.

It is alleged that after pointing the gun at the woman, Briscoe used a metal object to hit the woman.

However, the woman managed to escape and contacted the police.

Briscoe has been charged with the offences of Assault at Common Law, Possession of Prohibited Weapon and Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm.
