Jamaicans believe that the KFC franchise in the island produces the best chicken in the world.
Locally, it is said that the Jamaican franchise created the bbq chicken recipe – though this can’t be verified- it is one of the many arguments used to support the theory that KFCs in Jamaica are the best!
It may surprise you to know that KFC has only been in the island for 45-years. The Jamaican franchise on Thursday (June 18) celebrated 45 years of operations on the island.
“We’re celebrating 45 years of sharing delicious food, good vibes & legendary moments in this amazing country! Today, we cut cake where it all began on Old Hope Road,” said KFC Jamaica on Twitter.
“BIG up to our fantastic teams & customers islandwide for making all of this possible! #BIG45 #HappyBirthdayKFC,” added the company in a tweet.
To commemorate the occasion, Mark Myers, Managing Director; Michelle Myers Mayne, Director, and Tina Myers Matalon, Marketing Director made a surprise visit to the site of the island’s first opened location on Old Hope road.
