Shenseea’s son inks deal as Chubby soft drinks newest brand influencer

Dancehall artiste Shenseea’s son, Rajeiro Lee, is the newest brand ambassador for the iconic soft drink brand Chubby.

The announcement was made by the soft drink company on its Instagram page on Tuesday (October 27).

“Chubby is thrilled to introduce our brand influencer from the beautiful island of Jamaica, Rajeiro Lee,” said the company on its Instagram page.

In the post made by Chubby, Lee, showing off his new haircut, is seen in what appears to be a commercial ad, posing with two thumbs next to a Chubby Blueberry soda which boasts being 25 percent less sugar.

Fastly becoming a household name in his own right, this isn’t the four-year-old’s first endorsement deal, earlier this year, in February, the toddler became an ambassador for the popular kids clothing and accessory store Baby Bop.

Trinidad based SM Jaleel and Company is the manufacturer of Chubby soft drinks.

In 2019, the soft drink became the subject of much controversy after an Al Jazeera documentary criticized the drink for having “seven donuts worth of sugar”.

The documentary also includes a interviewing with an official from the US Centre for Consumer Freedom, who claims that nutritional information is not included on Chubby labels.

SM Jaleel clapped back at the allegations made in the documentary noting that the information was “out of date and ultimately incorrect”.

The company further said that in 2008, the soft drink was reformulated and the sugar content reduced by 25 per cent.
