(The Den) – There is still a long road to recovery for a 5-year-old boy who was severely bitten by dogs in a St Ann community, however, Mickele Allen was seen waving from his hospital bed following his first surgery.
According to US media reports, Allen, who is at the Montefiore Medical Center, has already undergone one of a series of skin grafts and reconstructive surgeries and has been recovering well.

Dr Garfein who was instrumental in assisting the family, who prior to the incident never even had passports, shared that the severity of the incident made him compelled to help.
The doctor explained that the boy had about 50 to 60% of his scalp torn away, along with major damage to his arms and legs.
According to Dr.Garfein, Mickele is likely to spend his birthday (December 15) and New Years in the US.
