Hanover man dies after crashing into utility pole

A Hanover man died after the vehicle he was driving collided with a utility pole on Monday (August 25).

The deceased has been identified as forty-six-year-old McNeil Kerr of Look Out district, Hopewell in Hanover.

Reports from the Sandy Bay Police are that about 11:00 a.m., Kerr was driving a 2011 Toyota Noah minivan along the Hopewell main road when on reaching a section of the roadway, he lost control of the vehicle and collided into a utility pole and then into a bridge.

The police were summoned and he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
