Higgler charged for robbing man 25K at wholesale on Luke Lane

A higgler was charged after he allegedly robbed a man who was exiting a wholesale on Luke Lane.

The incident dates back to a robbery that occurred on April 9.

Reports are that the complainant was exiting a wholesale when he was pounced upon by two men,one armed with a handgun.

They proceeded to rob him of JM $25,000 and then escaped on foot in the area.

51-year-old Paul Porter otherwise called ‘Little Man’,a higgler, was subsequently arrested and placed on an identification parade, where he was pointed out.

Detectives assigned to the Kingston Central Division on Monday (July 27) charged Porter with Robbery with Aggravation.

Porter is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Friday, August 14.
