Hurricane Beryl forces island-wide closures: Airport, gov’t offices and more

As hurricane Beryl continues to intensify, businesses island-wide have announced that they will be shuttering their doors, with most establishments slated to remain closed until the passage of the storm. Among the major closures announced include:

Norman Manley International Airport
PAC Kingston Airport Limited announced earlier Tuesday that due to the threat posed by hurricane Beryl the port would close at 10:00 p.m. and would accommodate all scheduled incoming and outgoing flights up to the time of the closure.

JCF Criminal Records Office

In a release sent out by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), the organization announced that its Criminal Records Office (CRO) would close at midday on Tuesday and remain closed until the passage of the hurricane.

Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies
Several government agencies have indicated that they would be closing early on Tuesday and would remain closed until the passage of the storm.

Jamaica Public Service
The Jamaica Public Service Company  (JPSCo) announced that its customer service offices will be closed until the passage of hurricane Beryl.
