Hurricane warning for Jamaica discontinued, curfew to end

The Met Service in a bulletin late Wednesday said that the Hurricane warning that was in effect for Jamaica had been discontinued.

According to the Met Service, Jamaica is now outside of the range of hurricane force winds from Hurricane Beryl.

In bulletin no.21, the met service advised that a flash flood warning was now in effect due to rainfall associated with the passing system, with rising water levels expected to continue affecting coastal areas.

Additionally, the island-wide curfew, in effect, is to be lifted at 6:00 a.m.
