Jamaica’s COVID-19 cases near 5,000

The latest numbers release from the Ministry of Health and Wellness revealed that Jamaica had recorded  230 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the country’s tally to 4,988.

The MOHW further revealed that seven new deaths had been recorded in the last 24 hours bringing the death toll to 67.

Of the new cases, the majority, 116, were recorded in Kingston and St Andrew.

The ministry said two of the new cases are imported, 10 are contacts of confirmed cases, while 218 are under investigation.
