Jamaica’s COVID-19 tally nears 11K mark, 90-year-old latest victim

Jamaica’s  COVID-19 tally now stands at 10,987 with expectations that it will cross the 11,000 mark shortly.

The country recorded 76 new cases over the last 24-hours, with a 90-year-old St James man being the latest victim of the virus; the death toll is now 260.

Most of the new cases were recorded in western and northern parishes with 17 new cases recorded in St James and 13 in St Ann.

To date Jamaica has 3,846 active cases, with ten persons in hospital described as ‘critical’.
