Machete-wielding rapist to face court after breaking into woman’s home on Slipe Road

A 42-year-old man is to answer to charges of Burglary, Assault With Intent to Rape and Wounding with Intent when he appears before the St. Andrew Parish Court on  August 28. 

The charges stem from a August 7 incident in which the man , identified as Kevin Robinson of  a Stanton Terrace address, allegedly broke into a woman’s home on Slipe Road, Kingston 5.

Reports are that the incident  occurred around  2 :30 a.m., when Robinson—armed with a machete—allegedly broke into a woman’s house and attempted to rape her.

During the struggle that ensued, he allegedly used a machete to chop her several times.

An alarm was made and he was apprehended by a police patrol team that was in the area.

The injured woman was taken to hospital where she was admitted and later released.
