Man arrested for illegal gun in Manor Park

A twenty-seven-year-old man was on Sunday (June 16) arrested in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm in Manor Park, Kingston 8.

Trimaine Raymond, otherwise called ‘Pepe’, of Grassquit Lane, Kingston 11 has been charged with breaches of the Firearms Act following his arrest.

Reports from the Constant Spring Road Police are that about 3:30 a.m., an off-duty police officer accosted Raymond outside a night club in the area when his actions aroused the cop’s suspicions.

Raymond was searched and a bag that he was carrying was found to contain one Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine containing five 9mm cartridges.

He was arrested and later charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorised Possession of Ammunition.
