Man charged after acid attack on women at Pavilion mall

A man who threw a substance, deemed to be acid, on two women has been charged following a month-long investigation.

30-year-old Aaron Spence of Spanish Town Road in Kingston has been charged with Assault Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm.

Reports are that Spence on July 25 threw acid on two women working in a store at Pavilion Plaza in St Andrew.

Spence is said to be one of two masked men who entered the establishment, brandishing a container which contained the substance.

The women received burns all over their bodies as a result of the attack.

They were subsequently rushed to hospital where they were treated and released.
