The Den can confirm that a man is dead following what is believed to be a stabbing incident outside of a barber shop in Ocho Rios, St Ann.
Details surrounding the matter remain limited. However, Superintendent Dwight Powell confirmed that the incident occurred early Tuesday (October 12).
A video from the crime scene which has been making the rounds on social media platforms shows the deceased, clad in a white undershirt, blue jean shorts and black sandals perched along a stairwell suffering from an injury to the neck.
According to those in the vicinity of the Ocho Rios Craft Market, near where the incident occurred, reported hearing screams for help.
“Help him, help him,” one vendor recalled hearing, who rushed to the scene of the incident.
While the man’s identity is remains unknown, vendors note that the deceased frequented the area, selling items on a cart.
