Man killed in confrontation with police in Portmore, believed to be a suspect in double murder

The police late Thursday(March 4) confirmed that a man was fatally shot during a confrontation with the officers in Portmore in St. Catherine earlier in the day.

According to the police, firearm and several rounds of ammunition were seized in the incident.

Detectives are at this hour working to confirm the man’s identity, however, he is strongly believed to be a suspect in the double murder of 38-year-old Nicholas Neusville, a coach of Waterford, St. Catherine and 19-year-old Rahiema Edwards of Passagefort, also in St. Catherine.
