Man nabbed following botched kidnapping attempt in St James

A St James man was nabbed on Monday (February 15 ) following a failed kidnapping attempt in Lilliput, St James.

Reports from the St. James Police are that at about 2:45 p.m., 27-year-old Shadaine Murray allegedly attempted to abduct the complainant at gunpoint.

A struggle ensued; the complainant was shot but managed to escape. The Police were summoned and the injured man taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigations led to the arrest of Murray, who was placed on an Identification Parade; where he was pointed out by the complainant.

Murray otherwise called ‘Gussie was subsequently charged with Wounding with Intent in relation to the incident.
His court date is not yet finalised.
