Montague shares nomination slip despite speculation that he would miss out

Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) incumbent Member of Parliament for St Mary Western, Robert Montague, has been nominated despite an earlier announcement that he and another MP where in self quarantine following a possible exposure to COVID-19.

Speculation was ripe that Montague would miss out the nomination activity necessary to secure a place on the ballot for the September 3 General Election following the announcement made by the JLP Campaign Spokesperson Kamina Johnson Smith about the possible exposure to COVID-19.

However, Montague, moments ago on his Instagram page shared his nomination slip, telling supporters, “It’s now official. I am a candidate for St Mary Western , for the Jamaica Labour Party”.’
