A spiritual reader was shot and killed by unknown assailant(s) at his home in Magotty, St Elizabeth on Wednesday (February 17).
Dead is Jerome Hylton of Jointwood district, Magotty in the parish.
Reports are that about 9:10 p.m., Hylton and two other men were at his house when they were pounced upon by gunmen who opened fire hitting Hylton several times.
The police were alerted and he was taken to hospital where Hylton was pronounced dead.
The other men escaped unhurt.
Detectives assigned to the St. Elizabeth Police Division have launched a probe into the incident.
