Pedal cyclist killed in Trelawny, man arrested

A man was killed while riding along the Bounty Hall main road in Trelawny on Tuesday, (June 23)

Reports are that about 4:20 p.m., the pedal cyclist was riding in front of a Toyota Corolla motor car.

It is alleged that on reaching a section of the roadway, the Toyota Corolla motor car was attempting to overtake the cyclist when a section of the vehicle collided with the bicycle.

The cyclist has been identified as 31-year-old Glenroy Williams, a mason of Bounty Hall in the parish. 

Williams receiving multiple injuries, he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the motor car did not stop, however he was later and arrested by the Police.
