Police launch probe into video of woman assaulting man

The police in a release on Sunday (April 18) encouraged a man seen in a now viral video to make contact with them

According to the police, they are aware and have launched a probe into a video being circulated on social media that involves a woman physically assaulting a man while being cheered on by members of the public.

“The Jamaica Constabulary Force takes seriously all matters of assault coming to our attention and will robustly and thoroughly investigate each case, irrespective of gender,” the police said in a release.

“We are appealing to the man in the video to make contact with the police immediately, in order for us to progress the investigations,” the police added in the release

The police have further encouraged anyone with information about the incident and or who can identify those involved to make contact with the nearest police station.
