Police on the hunt for man who chopped 61-year-old Clarendon woman to death

Police in Clarendon say they are searching for a man they suspect of inflicting fatal chop wounds to a 61-year-old woman in McDonald district in Crooked River, Clarendon on Monday (February 15).

Dead is Sharon Cole, a caregiver of the same community.

Reports from the Chapelton Police are that about 5:10 p.m., Cole reportedly got into an argument with a man. It is alleged that the argument escalated and the man used a machete to chop Cole several times all over her body.

She was rushed to the hospital, however, she was pronounced dead on arrival.

The Chapelton Police are urging the suspect to turn himself in.

They are also encouraging residents to share any information that could lead to his arrest and charge by calling them
