A probe has been launched after a former policeman was shot dead near the Dallas Castle Primary School in rural St Andrew on Tuesday (October 27).
Reports are that at around 2:00 p.m. residents reported hearing gunshots and the police were summoned.
Upon arrival the body of 82-year-old retried District Constable Leonard Bennett was found with gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at hospital.
