Store clerk shot by off duty soldier in Crossroads following dispute

A store clerk was rushed to hospital on Thursday (December 17) after he was shot twice at around mid-day by an off-duty soldier.

The Den understands that the employee was to have been assisting the soldier, a customer at the establishment, when a dispute ensued.

It is further understood that the soldier shot the store clerk twice in the parking lot of the Azan Supercentre in Crossroads.

The worker was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he is said to have undergone emergency surgery.
