Jamaica recorded 329 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24-hours, as the surge in cases continue.
The country began to see a sharp uptick in cases in early February,since the start of the month Jamaica has recorded more than 2,000 new infections.
The new infections bring the island’s total number of cases to 18,000.
Most of the new infections were reported in the parish of Kingston and St Andrew with 105 new cases followed by St James (60), St Catherine (59) and Manchester (33).
One additional fatality was recorded bringing the death toll to 363 : the deceased is a 61-year-old male from Westmoreland.
