Taxi operator dies after being hit by car while attempting to cross roadway in MoBay

A taxi operator has died from injuries he sustained when he was hit by a motor car along the Ironshore main road in St James on Wednesday, (July 6).

The deceased has been identified as Fifty-four-year-old Patrick Blake of Barrett Oval in Montego Bay in St. James.

Reports from the Coral Gardens Police are that about 7:15 p.m., Blake was attempting to cross the roadway when he was hit by a Toyota motor car. Blake was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Toyota motor car, who stopped at the scene has since been warned for prosecution by the police.
