Trelawny chef arrested for using knife to stab grandfather

A Trelawny chef was on Tuesday  (September 14)  charged with the murder of his grandfather.

Charged is 22-year-old Victor Newman of Wakefield and Quick Step district.

Reports are that on September 11, Newman used a knife to stab 84-year-old Menocal Stephenson, his grandfather. 

Stephenson was accosted by residents who handed him over to lawmen.

Subsequently on Monday  (September 13) a question and answer session was conducted and Newman later charged. 

 

 

 

 

His court date is being finalised.
