Tufton confirms he’ll be getting COVID-19 jab at Spanish Town Hospital

Following calls from the public for top tier public officials to get the COVID-19 jab, Health Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton announced that he would be getting the AstraZeneca jab later today.

Confirmed in a press release on the matter, Tufton is expected to get the jab at 2:00 p.m. at the Spanish Town Hospital.

More than 17,000 persons in Jamaica have received the COVID-19 vaccines since the rollout of the inoculation program which began a week ago.

Health care workers, the security forces and the elderly were among the first to receive the vaccine since inoculation started on March 10.
