Wolmer’s student killed at home in St Catherine while playing with gun

A student who attended the Wolmer’s Boys’ High School is dead after he and a group of friends were playing with a gun on Friday (October 30).

The police confirmed the incident, identifying the deceased as 16-year-old Jaden Morrison of Caribbean Estate address in the parish, who died from a gunshot wound he received in his community.

Reports reaching The Den are that Morrison was hanging out with four friends all of whom attend the prestigious institution.

It is alleged that the teens were smoking and playing around with the firearm, which was brought in a knapsack to the home of Morrison.

Morrison was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The firearm, said to have been stored in a safe in a closet, allegedly belonged to the father of one of the other boys.
