A woman is dead after she reportedly tried to escape through a vent from the National Chest Hospital in Kingston 6 on Wednesday (July 8)
While the police’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) told The Den that details about the incident were limited they did reveal that the woman had fallen to her death through a vent.
The woman is suspected to have had the coronavirus.
According to the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOWH) a total of 6,906 “persons -of -interest ” are in-home quarantine, while eight are in government facilities
On Tuesday (July 7), the MOWH confirmed eight new COVID-19 cases bringing Jamaica’s tally to 745.
Of the 745 cases, only 121 are active cases.
