Woman found hacked to death near Claremont in St Ann

The Den understands that an unidentified woman was found with her throat slashed just a few miles from the community of Claremont in St Ann.

Initial reports from the police reveal that late Thursday (March 18) residents in the area heard cries for help and later a passerby stumble upon the body and alerted the police.

According to police, the woman’s body was found at around 6:30 p.m. with multiple stab wounds and her throat was slashed.

The police further said that the woman who is yet to be identified is believed to be named Samantha and may originally be from the community of Bunkers Hill in Clarendon.

Sources close to the incident revealed that the woman worked at the MK Fashion clothing store in Ocho Rios and may have been involved in a domestic dispute, as she had complained days earlier about problems at home.
