Marcia Griffiths to celebrate 60 years in music with Hope Gardens show

Legendary Jamaican songbird Marcia Griffiths will celebrate her 60th year in reggae with a massive showcase in Hope Gardens on November 3, 2024.

This will be the first time that she will be performing live in Jamaica for 2024.

Dubbed the “Queen of Reggae”, Griffiths will be headlining her ‘Marcia and Friends’ event that will feature some of the fifty collaborations that she has done throughout her time as one of the leading acts in reggae. There will also be some major international acts that will grace the stage during the event.

The event will be quite similar to one held in Florida in May and is expected to provide patrons with a exhilarating blend of melodies and rhythms with a variety of artistes performing at the venue.

Griffiths iconic career is one which saw her performing with a number of greats to include reggae legend Bob Marley and her fellow I Threes members, Judy Mowatt and Rita Marley. She formed a major duo with another legend in the form of Bob Andy.

Over the years, she has performed all over the world and is known for her songs Feel Like Jumping, Electric Slide among others.
