Website crashes as tickets go on sale for Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street concert

The high demand for tickets to attend Vybz Kartel’s first show dubbed, ‘Freedom Street’ is alleged to have crashed the ticket sales website.

Just hours after going live, the organizers of the event, Downsound Entertainment said that the massive rush for tickets caused the crash.

They have since taken to social media to provide an update, advising potential attendees and other stakeholders that they were ” working to fix” the problem.

“Due to the overwhelming high volume orders for Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street concert tickets,  the website experienced a severe crash seconds after it went live at 3 am Saturday morning,” a section of the statement read.

“Technicians are working assiduously to resolve this issue and assured us this will be sorted in very short order,” the statement continued.

The show is slated to be held at the National Stadium on December 31vtickets were announced to go on sale the last day of August.

There are different tiers for ticket prices with the cheapest being US$125 for bleachers.
