The attempted assassination on Republican candidate, Donald Trump, at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday appears to have bolstered his chances of becoming president.
According to PredictIt, an online marketplace that lets people bet on political events, Trump’s chances have shot up, having risen from 60% to 67% following the near-miss incident.
The sitting American President, Joe Biden’s chances stood at 27%, in line with what they had been on the Friday before the incident.
Additionally, shares of Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT.O) soared 31%, lifting its stock market value to $7.7 billion.
