Guess who bought a new wig?
Veteran Reggae artiste Tanya Stephens purchased a new wig from Wigs by Shelly Ann Curran.
Artiste Manager and business woman, Shelly-Ann Curran, used Instagram on Thursday (November 19) to thank Stephens for her support.
“Delivering to my rockstar @iamtanyastephens . Thanks for the support @wigsbyshellyanncurran, ” Curran said in an IG post.
Several fans used the medium to share that they were happy about the purchase, with one user noting that Stephens had bought the wig in time for her Reggae Sunsplash performance.
“Sunsplash tun up yah now,” said one Instagram user.
While it remains unclear if Stephens purchased the wig for herself, fans have lauded the purchase as a “good move”.
The artiste has recently come under fire for her appearance, with Stephens engaging in a cursing match with a woman online, who told her it was time to change her wig.
Stephens, no stranger to controversy, has maintained that she is comfortable with her look despite the criticism.
The veteran reggae act is expected to perform at Reggae Sunsplash which is to be held virtually on November 27 and 28.
This year’s staging of the event will honour ‘crown prince of reggae’, Dennis Brown.
