Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced on Wednesday (September 4) that a by-election would be held in the constituency of North East St. Ann on September 30.
Holness made the announcement while speaking at a post cabinet press briefing where he further shared that nomination day will be September 11, 2024.
Facing questions from reporters in attendance, Holness said that the North East St Ann constituency was not being singled out, noting that other by-elections would be held in short order.
