Trelawny cops investigating after teen’s body found with shark bites

The Trelawny Police are investigating after the body of a teen was fished from the sea on Tuesday (August 27) with what appears to be shark bites.

The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Jahmari Reid of Racecourse district, Trelawny.

Reports are that at about 6:00 a.m. on Monday(August 26), Jahmari left home to go fishing.

Jahmari did not return home on the day, however early Tuesday fishermen observed a body afloat in the water and alerted the police.

On their arrival, the body was identified as that of the teen, with what appeared to be shark bites— his head and his left hand were also bitten off.

The body was fished from the water and taken to the morgue.
