Two men and a juvenile were arrested and charged with the murder of 34-year-old Robert Rowe of Ricketts Street, Savanna-La-mar in Westmoreland which occurred in his community on Thursday, October 07.
Reports from the Savanna-la-Mar Police are that about 4:10 p.m., Rowe was driving his Toyota motorcar when he was pounced upon by the trio.
They opened gunfire hitting him in the upper body. He was taken to hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
Also charged with Murder and Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition are:
- Twenty-one-year-old Deniel Williams otherwise called ‘Dendo’, of Ricketts Street, Savanna-La-Mar in Westmoreland
- Thirty-five-year-old Rickal Barrett otherwise called ‘Tuggy-Tuggy’, of Sellington District, Black River, St. Elizabeth and
- 15-year-old boy
On Tuesday October 12, both Williams and the juvenile were arrested in a police operation at their home on Ricketts Street in the parish.
On Monday October, 25 Barrett was apprehended by the police when he reported on condition of bail in St. Elizabeth. On Sunday October 31, all three men were jointly charged.
