Vendor gunned down while preparing chicken for sale in Portmore

A vendor who sold chicken was gunned down in Portmore, St Catherine on Saturday (November 6).

Reports are that the vendor was inside his makeshift establishment preparing chicken for sale when he was pounced upon by armed men.

The armed men opened fire, hitting him several times.

The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Kevaughn Davis of Barracuda Way in Braeton.

According to residents, Davis had only recently erected his cookshop in the community.

Detectives assigned to the Portmore CIB are still trying to determine the motive for the attack.
