Sean Kingston’s mother in police custody following raid at rapper’s Florida home

The mother of entertainer Sean Kingson was taken into police custody on Thursday following a raid at the singer’s Florida home.

61-year-old Janice Turner was taken into custody on numerous fraud and theft charges after police served a search warrant at the massive mansion on Southwest 178th Avenue in Broward County.

An attorney close to the matter told US media that the raid of the entertainer’s house is linked to a lawsuit filed against Kingston for allegedly not paying for items.

According to court documents, the Ver Ver Entertainment company alleges that Kingston partially paid for a television and entertainment system but failed to pay for the product in full.

The complaint further alleges that Kingston has a habit of using his name and celebrity status to acquire goods without paying for them.

The entertainer, whose real name is Kisean Paul Anderson, was born in Miami but at age 6 moved to his family’s homeland, Jamaica, where he attended high school prior to moving back to South Florida.
