A 28-year-old man who was taken into police custody on Wednesday (July 17) in connection with a domestic dispute, was later slapped with a murder charge in connection with a 2021 incident.
Police have laid charges against 28-year-old Marlan Wilson in connection with the 2021 murder of 41-year-old Charles Martell of Hellshire drive in St Catherine.
Martell was at home on January 10, 2021 when four men entered his dwelling all armed with machete, knives, and ice picks and attacked him.
He was assisted to hospital by residents where he was admitted. On Friday, March 26, 2021 Martell succumbed to his injuries.
Wilson otherwise called ‘Jordon’ of Tulip Avenue was charged in the presence of his attorney.
