Tributes flow for young mom who died after car plunged into the Rio Cobre

Tributes are flowing for a mother who died after a car she was travelling in plunged into the Rio Cobre.

26-year-old Mckedia (Mccadia) Hudson died on arrival at the hospital.

The man who was driving the car at the time of the incident has been warned for prosecution.

‘Loving mother and friend’

Hudson is being remembered as a loving mother and friend.

According to those who knew her  Hudson adored her young son and was a dedicated mother.

“She adored her son, it so sad that she has left him behind,” one of Hudson’s friend said.

“How can you be gone? ?????. Heaven gained an angel today, but too soon. Devastated,” added another online.

Another of Hudson’s friends shared that she was in utter disbelief as days earlier Hudson had been enquiring about renting a car.

“U came to me about car rental and you tell me you get through.Go on Instagram see accident, text you and call to check if is actually you,” said one friend online, clearly shocked by Hudson’s sudden passing.

Friends who knew Hudson during her time at the Jonathan Grant High School remembered her as being fun loving and jovial.

“She was a fun loving and great friend, we would talk often. However she really transformed when she became a mom, she was all about her son,” a former schoolmate said.

“We met when  we worked together at Lasco. She is a very thoughtful person and good friend, very supportive, ” added another friend.

Investigation into the crash is ongoing

While the driver of the vehicle has been warned for prosecution, the incident has raised eyebrows due to the time it occurred.

Police have revealed that investigations into the matter are on-going, as they note with peculiarity the time of the incident. It is unclear if Hudson or the driver had permission to be on the road during the curfew hours.
