St Vincent’s La Soufriere volcano erupted on Friday (April 9).
According to information released by the University of the West Indies (UWI) Seismic Research Centre the volcano erupted at 8:41 a.m. shooting out hot magma among other volcanic rocks and materials.
“This is a culmination of the seismic activity that began on April 8. The eruption is ongoing and more information will be shared as things progress,” read a statement from the UWI Seismic Research Centre.
